$55,000 Grant Awarded to Siloam Family Health Center by the Baptist Healing Trust Nashville, Tennessee ??? Siloam Family Health Center received a grant from The Baptist Healing Trust, which recently awarded funds totaling almost $1.3 million to 42 charities for a variety of health related projects, according to President & CEO Erie Chapman. The mission of the Trust is to be a caring ministry devoted to healing with love in the Christian tradition. Siloam Family Health Center was awarded $55,000 to continue the integration of behavioral health and pastoral care into the primary care clinic setting. The grant will partially fund a full-time behavioral health consultant and a full-time pastor, two staff members who contribute to Siloam’s whole-person care designed to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients. Siloam has been providing affordable, comprehensive health care to the uninsured and underserved since 1991.
“Taking care of body, mind and spirit is essential in the delivery of high-quality health care,” says Nancy West, Siloam’s President and CEO. “We are delighted that The Baptist Healing Trust sees the value of this innovative model of care.”
Recipients of the Baptist Healing Trust funds include non-profit organizations from all over Middle Tennessee working to help create access to quality, compassionate health services for the community’s most vulnerable.
