volunteerING

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Siloam Family Health Center!   From its inception, one of Siloam’s primary goals has been to create a friendly framework for the utilization of volunteers, encouraging the community-at-large to play a significant role in providing high-quality, compassionate health care to people in need.  Volunteers were the very first caregivers at Siloam, and they remain its lifeblood to this day.

Siloam currently benefits from the service of more than 450 volunteers who donate more than 14,000 hours annually in clinical and non-clinical roles. It is truly a blessing to have the opportunity to work with so many loving, dedicated servants who are involved in Siloam’s ministry and we welcome your involvement as well.  Recognizing the unique, God-given talents each one of us can offer is important and there are a variety of ways to use your gifts in service at Siloam Family Health Center.  From Volunteer Physicians to those who assist by filing charts in our Patient Relations area to those who bake muffins for busy patient mornings, each volunteer makes a significant contribution in the life of Siloam’s ministry.  Volunteers help us carry out our mission “to share the love of Christ by serving those in need through health care.”

One Siloam Volunteer tells about her experience, “It is a blessing for me to be a part of the Siloam team. I have benefited far more from my time spent there than anything I’ve done for any of the patients or staff! I’m amazed at how God is softening my heart toward people from other cultures and walks of life that I once would have felt very different towards.”

Another says, “I have witnessed Siloam’s staff continually reflect the love of Christ through compassion. I have witnessed many patients transformed by this and they leave with more peace and dignity than when they arrived.”

We invite you to click on the “Opportunities to Serve” tab to learn about the various ways you can serve at Siloam.  If there is something that matches your interests and skills, please click on the “Become a Volunteer” tab and fill out the volunteer application.  You are welcome to fax or email the application to the Volunteer Department and we will be in touch with you.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:7 to “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men.”  We thank you for your interest in serving at Siloam.

With thanks,
